I’m Robyn,

holistic wellness mentor and EFT Practitioner. I’m also the creator of and blogger behind The Self-Care Lane. I help my clients be happier, find calm and lead more fulfilling lives. And I’m here to help you make yourself a priority, stop feeling stressed and reclaim your joy.

I’m a mum to two incredible little humans and wife to an insanely supportive husband. I love crocheting, baking, stationery hoarding and coffee and I never tire of watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S reruns.

I believe

that every woman deserves to live a life of freedom and fulfillment and that a kinder, happier world starts with happier, healthier families and so I empower busy professional women to shift from feeling overwhelmed, stressed and time poor to rediscovering themselves, becoming confident and taking back their power, enabling them to spend guilt-free, quality time with their families and, more importantly, themselves.

On my own healing and wellness journey

I have learned that to feel true contentment and happiness I had to create a life for myself based on what I was passionate about and what made me feel joyful. I have since devoted myself to sharing what I have learned with other women.

It has become my mission to help you cultivate a positive mindset, learn to love and honour yourself, and be more productive and take control of your life.

My Credentials

I’ve completed a Level 4 Diploma Life Coaching Certification as well as a Holistic Coaching Certification in a host of holistic modalities. These include Mindfulness, Meditation, EFT, Reiki, Breathwork, Somatic Movement, Inner Child and Shadow Work, and Yogic Philosophy. I’m also currently working towards a third certification as an NLP Practitioner.

In addition, I hold a bachelors degree in Law and, before training as a Mentor, I worked in the legal sector for almost 20 years, starting as a secretary, then working my way up to Associate, and thereafter opening my own law firm.

My Story

A very brief introduction to how I came to find myself in the wellness space

I certainly know the demands and pressures one faces at the various levels of employment and also as a business owner and I’m no stranger to being busy busy busy.

Stress and overwhelm were simply a part of my DNA for a very long time. I was always running around like a chicken without a head – meetings, deadlines, laundry, housework, kids activities, family / friend meetups…. I simply didn’t know which way to turn or which hat I was wearing at any given moment.

After a relocation across the world, amidst a pandemic, I found myself taking stock of my life. Suddenly I was in unchartered waters where I’d been gifted time. I had time to be still, time to be silent, time to reflect and it was a bit unnerving. I came to realise that I had been so stressed and overwhelmed for so long that I didn’t know how to be present in the moment. The truth of it was I didn’t know how to not be stressed. I’d spent the previous decade of my life in such a state of high-functioning anxiety that I hadn’t been able to truly enjoy my life, I hadn’t enjoyed my kids and I couldn’t allow that to continue. I had to hit the reset button.

I began a new journey,

where I learned ways to heal, to prioritise my mental well-being, to allow myself to relax, and to start looking after me. Walking away from the career I knew and had worked so hard for was difficult but it turned out to be one of the biggest blessings of my life. I felt a yearning within me to help others learn what I had learned and so, I trained to become a certified holistic wellness coach. With that I jumped into the exciting, and somewhat terrifying, world of entrepreneurship. Now I am blessed to be able to help others whilst making the time for what truly matters to me and creating the life of joy I craved.

Today, I’m a recovering people-pleaser and I’ve finally learned what true joy and life fulfilment look like, although ~ full disclosure ~ some days I’m a right mess and you know what, I’m okay with it!

Goodness knows I know how stressful and demanding life can get. I’ve been where you are, and I want you to know that you get to take control of and become the author of every situation in your life. The power lies within you. My passion is to help you draw on that power so that you can manage your time, reclaim your joy and find calm in your everyday life.
